Hands Upon my Cheeks | In the Palm of His Hand

I have been writing since I was a little girl but my greatest muse, The Lord Jesus, didn't truly come into my life until I was a teenager. When I met Him my life turned upside down and I have never been the same. Creativity has poured out of me. I am a senior now ( I can hardly believe it) and I am learning new things everyday.
I am a professional artist and can be found in Hello Tacoma artist list, I have written and illustrated 3 children's books though they are not published as of this writing. I have just finished my first children's musical which I hope to be put into production this fall.

Challenge shows that I am still alive,
The dead have no challenge.

::: In the Palm of His Hand :::

I lay myself down in the palm of your hand
I notice the scar there and muse how comfotable I am
Resting in the dent the scar has made.
Then I realize how the scar got there.
I am aghast at first, ashamed of my comfort.
I am so humbled I get up and start to leave.
But you take your other hand and cover me,
Preventing my escape.

I then hear yo speaking in a whisper to me,
"Your name was written on these palms.
You qualify to be here, asleep in my scar.
I did it for you so you could have a place to rest."

My eyes close and I shake my head in awe,
Overwhelmed by your grace.
I settle myself down again in the palm of your hand.
Tears stream down my face.
I will never take this for for granted,
I will hold it in honor always, this precious quiet place.
